Some people say, "I was born gay. God knows and
understands."
The Bible says, "And God said, Let us make man in our
image, after our likeness." (Gen 1:26). "And the
Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be
alone; I will make him an help meet for him" (Gen
2:18). "And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall
upon Adam, and he slept: and took one of his ribs, and
closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which
the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and
brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now the
bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be
called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore
shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave
unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh" (Gen
2:21-24).
You can
see from these scriptures that man was made in God's
image. Verse 24 tell us that man shall cleave unto his
wife, and even after their fall in the garden, God told
Eve, "thy desire shall be to thy husband." (Gen
3:16).
Some
people say, This is the 90's. Homosexuality is just
another lifestyle. Besides, I pay my taxes, I don't hurt
anyone!
The Word
of God tell us that homosexuality is an abomination.
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind:
it is abomination" (Lev 18:22). If a man also lie
with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have
committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to
death; their blood shall be upon them " (Lev 20:13).
"For
all these abomination have the men of the land done, which
were before you, and the land is defiled" (Lev
18:27). The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are and should be
a great and awesome example to us to stand against the
wicked spirit of Homosexuality. God destroyed Sodom and
Gomorrah because of this. How are our country and our
world doing today? We are warned in the Word of God how
that in the last days, before Christ coming, it will be as
in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. What are you doing, my
friend? Are you taking your stand against the devil and
his angels?
The 19th
Chapter of Genesis tells us of the two strangers (angels
from God) that entered Sodom. Lot knew of the wickedness
of Sodom and persuaded the two strangers to take shelter
and rest in the safety of his own home. But before they
lay down, the men of the city, even the man of Sodom,
compassed the house round, both old and young, all the
people from every quarter: And they called unto Lot, and
said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee
this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door
after him, And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so
wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not
known man; let me, I pray you bring them out unto you, and
do ye them as is good in your eyes: only these man do
nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my
roof" (Gen 19:4-8).
In Judges
19:22 and 1 Kings 14:24 are other examples of such
wickedness. Man has turned his heart away from God in
exchanged for worldly pleasures and sin down through the
ages. God hates sin and it is his will to save people from
their sins and from eternal damnation. Only those that
truly repented in this life may enter heaven and one day
stand at the right hand of God. "Then shall he say
also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye
cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and
his angels" (Matt 25:41). "And these shall go
away into everlasting punishment; but the righteous into
life eternal" (Matt 25:46). It is when a person
continually turns down the calling of God that he or she
is in great danger. The 1st chapter of Romans tells us
again of the extreme hatred God has toward the spirit of
Homosexuality. The Lord has given to us the knowledge of
good and evil. He has sent his own Son Christ Jesus to die
for our sins that we may saved from our sins. There is
hope for the homosexual as well as all sinners who will
seek Christ for deliverance from the life of sin and
wickedness. But again, there is ultimate danger in turning
God down. Paul wasn't ashamed to seek God when he was a
sinner. "For i am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ
for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that
believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For
therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to
faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith. For
the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth
in unrighteousness. Because that which may be known of God
is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For
the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world
are clearly seen, being understand by the things that are
made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are
without excuse: Because that, when they God, they
glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but
became vain in their imagination, and their foolish heart
was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they
became fools. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible
God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to
birds, and four-footed beast, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the
lust of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies
between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a
lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the
Creator, who is blessed forever. For this cause God gave
them unto vile affections: for even their women did change
the natural use into that which is against nature: And
likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the
woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with
men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in
themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their
knowledge God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do
those things which are not convenient; Being filled with
all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness,
covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate,
deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters of God,
despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things,
disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant
breakers, without natural affection, implacable,
unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they
which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do
the same, but have pleasure in them that do them"
(Romans 1:16-32).
The
Bible gives us a clear view of God's hatred of
Homosexuality. God wants to save every soul that will let
him. There is hope for the sinner. If you haven't yet
found Christ; if you are in need of deliverance from a
life of sin and disappointment, my desire is that you let
God have his way with you. Dear friend, whether you are a
common sinner or you have gone deep into sin, Jesus has
help and wants to save your soul from sin. "Come unto
me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am
meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your
souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"
(Matt 11:28-30).
